The first conference is in July 2003 starting mid afternoon on Friday 11th and finishing mid
afternoon Saturday 12th. The venue is the Oxstalls campus part of the
University of Gloucestershire.
The aim of the event is to allow community woodland groups throughout
England to come together and share information and experiences. It should be
an exciting two days with numerous guest speakers, workshops and displays as
well as plenty of time to meet people from other woodland groups.
We are delighted to be able to offer each community woodland group two fully
paid places for the event (excluding travelling costs). If as a group you
feel you would benefit from additional people attending, there are potential
places available at a cost of £80 per delegate for the whole package.
As part of the exhibition there will be a Community Woodland Network stand,
this is purely dedicated to you the groups. We are hoping you would like to display
either any printed material you have on your individual woods or
perhaps provide an A2 (or smaller) poster.
As part of the conference we are intending to have a poster competition with
a prize for the best design being donated and judged by the sponsor. We do
hope you will join in - please bring your posters and literature
with you.
