Registering personal
information
When you register to enter the Woodland Trust Online Community you will be
asked to provide a few basic personal details. We ask for your contact
details to keep you up to date with community developments. You have the
option to add to these basic details by completing a ‘Personal Profile’. A
‘Personal Profile’ can show your real name, location and details about your
interests. You have the choice at any time to show or hide these details
from your personal profile either in part or in full. The Woodland Trust
Online Community is open to the public, if you choose to show personal
information you must be aware that it is freely available to other users of
the Woodland Trust Online Community system and the Woodland Trust (Charity).
If you wish to terminate your registration/subscription of the Woodland
Trust Online Community please email
websitemanager@woodland-trust.org.uk.
Under 18’s
If you are under 16 please let a parent or guardian know that you are
considering participating in the Woodland Trust Online Community and ensure
they read and agree to the terms and conditions. We recommend that young
people DO NOT give out their full name or address details in any online
discussion activity and DO NOT allow the details contained within their
personal profile to be seen by all. We do not mail requests for financial
support to under 18’s but it is possible that we do not have a record of
your age. If you receive an inappropriate mailing please let us know - email
websitemanager@woodland-trust.org.uk and we will amend our records.
Data Protection
The Woodland Trust may wish to contact you by letter, fax, email, telephone
or SMS (i.e. mobile telephone text message) to update you on our work. If
you do not wish to receive information about our work or if one of the
methods of contacting you is inappropriate just let us know by emailing
websitemanager@woodland-trust.org.uk.
We are committed to complying with current UK data protection legislation
concerning the use and storage of your personal data. The Woodland Trust
privacy policy is available in full at
http://www.woodland-trust.org.uk/privacy/privacy.htm. It is updated from
time to time and the date of each update is recorded at the top of the page.
