Two ancient oaks saved from development in Croydon Last night Croydon Council turned down a planning application which would affect two ancient oaks. The programme included an interview with Vikki Forbes, the property manager of the National Trust's Hatfield Forest. Timber products from pollarding here have Forest Stewardship Council Certification. Over 1 million hectares of forestry in the UK are now certified.
