Tune in at the beginning of January to the second of three radio programmes about ancient trees.  Produced by Grant Sonnex in the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol.

Why do people love to reminisce ancient trees? Find out in January when BBC R4 Nature programme meets the people that wrote into them recently about their special trees.  Among other things they said they hid, slept, climbed, loved, read, and talked to such trees.  They gave the trees endearing names and even watered them!

Following the first programme in October we received many records of trees through our Ancient Trees Hunt web site www.ancient-tree-hunt

The programme will also feature a special visit to Sherwood Forest to learn about how they are peeling back the layers to reveal the history of the trees and our attitudes to them.

If you miss it then remember you can download it from the BBC web site.
