Whilst travelling through the aptly named "Gorge of the Dead" in Crete, the
Woodland Trust's very own Rebecca Whitley (Regional Development
Project Officer for Scotland) managed to take these lovely photos despite
the searing heat.

This ancient tree of peace, found to be the oldest olive tree in the world
is in the village of Vouves, West Crete and is estimated to be between 3,000
and 5,000 years old.
