Tree -  North Stoke

Artist Biography Susan has been painting in watercolour for many years, mostly self taught though she did attend art classes for some years to broaden her horizons.

Her subjects used to be flowers or landscapes; more recently she spent four years on the ancient Saxon/Norman churches of Sussex and it may well have been the fascinating ancient yew trees in some of the churchyards that inspired her to move on to trees as her next "project" two and a half years ago. Many are trees she saw and photographed on visits to remote churches in West Sussex.
